🇨🇳 Beijing, China
♥️ LaoBeijing Zhajiangmyeon King (老北京炸酱面大王)
I'm introducing LaoBeijing Zhajiangmyeon King (老北京炸酱面大王), a Michelin-starred restaurant in Beijing that I visited a few days ago during my trip to Beijing, China. I visit Beijing often, and I like the original Chinese Zhajiangmyeon (炸酱面), so I visit a Zhajiangmyeon restaurant every time I come to Beijing.
This time, I ate Beijing-style Zhajiangmyeon (老北京炸酱面) and Zhaguanchang (炸灌肠) at LaoBeijing Zhajiangmyeon King, which has been receiving Michelin stars for several years in a row, but is also great value for money at a reasonable price. I ordered two menus, and it's a great value restaurant in Beijing that only costs 82 yuan.
In China, the number 8 is considered a number that brings wealth, so there are a total of 8 ingredients in Jajangmyeon, including soybean paste. When you mix these ingredients and take a bite, the noodles are very soft and salty, which is really delicious. It's a completely different feeling from sweet Korean Jajangmyeon.
Also, when I eat Chinese Jajangmyeon, I like to eat Jjagwanchang (炸灌肠), which is a fried starch dish. It's crispy and savory, and when you dip it in garlic sauce, it's even more delicious. The Jjagwanchang at Nobeijing Jajangmyeon King is the thinnest, crispiest, and most delicious Jjagwanchang I've ever had.
If you want to try traditional Beijing, China food, I highly recommend this place 🇨🇳♥️
