Beijing – Tianjin Journey Through History and Modernity

Day 1: Summer Palace - Peking University - Tsinghua University
Day 2: Forbidden City - Jingshan Park - Beihai Park
Day 3: Great Wall: in the eastside must try 索道 and slideway, moving to west side by using calbe cab
Day 4: Tiananmen Square - China National Museum - Temple of Heaven
Day 5-6: Tianjin Citywalk: all the attractions are very close. We just walked around the city

The trip to Beijing and Tianjin was a perfect blend of the ancient and the modern. In Beijing, I was impressed by the grandeur of the Forbidden City, the magnificence of the Great Wall, and the solemn atmosphere at the Temple of Heaven. The city preserves its traditional Chinese spirit, from architecture to cuisine—with iconic dishes like Peking duck and savory meat-filled dumplings.

Leaving Beijing, I took a high-speed train to Tianjin—only about 30 minutes, but a memorable experience. Tianjin has a distinctly European charm with French and Italian-style buildings lining the Haihe River. The city feels open and modern, perfect for strolling, relaxing, and tasting local street food like fried buns stuffed with meat or hand-pulled noodles.
