We got to try an old Beijing hotpot restaurant that is over a hundred years old, where many famous people in the past have eaten, at “Donglai Shun”, which has been certified as a Time-honored brand by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

We went to the Qianmen Street branch. Actually, we found it by mistake because it is located in a small alley. In front, there are general food for sale. It is quite difficult to find and there is not much internet signal (using esim). I don't know why.

There were not many people inside, only about 5-6 tables. It might be because it is close to closing time, so some staff members were having fun cleaning the ceiling lamps near the table with customers. 555

The unique feature of Beijing hotpot is that it is a tall pot, mostly made of copper. As in the picture, we ordered a set for 2 people. At first, the staff said that it would not be enough because there were 5 of us, so they suggested ordering more. But when it was full, it was as shown in the picture. We could hardly finish it. 🤣

Overall, the food was delicious. The lamb was good. The portion was very big. The staff provided good service. But the shop is a bit mysterious
