A journey to conquer the Great Wall of China, Badaling Pass, 八达岭

Badaling Pass is the most popular scenic spot for tourists visiting. It is near Beijing and easy to get to. The surrounding area offers a beautiful view of the Great Wall of China. It is also one of the wonders of the world and a 5A tourist attraction in China.
We chose to go up to the 8-person fortress to see the view. There were quite a few people there. The path is steep and slippery. This spot is suitable for people who have little time to visit.

Book high-speed rail tickets via Trip.com. You can choose the time period and seat class.
🚝: Take the high-speed rail from Qinghe Station 清河 or Beijing North Station 北京北 and get off at Badaling Great Wall Station 八达岭长城. The ride takes about 20-55 minutes (depending on the train schedule). Exit 2 will find the Cable car ticket booth.
📝 It is recommended to get on at Qinghe Station 清河. It is easy to travel.

How to take the Cable car: There are 2 types: one way or round trip. We chose the round trip (140 yuan). Get off at Fort 8 and walk around to see the view.

Entrance fee to the Great Wall: 40 yuan

🕰️: April-October of each year 06.30-16.30 (every day)
November-March of each year 07.30-16.00 (Every day)
Visiting time: 3-4 hours
