Friendship Hotel | Just by its name, you know it's extraordinary

✨Beijing Friendship Hotel was built in 1954, originally named Xijiao Experts' Guesthouse. It was constructed to accommodate 18,000 Soviet experts assisting China, and officially renamed Beijing Friendship Hotel in 1956.
- As one of the earliest foreign affairs hotels built after the founding of New China, it served as an important venue for national diplomatic and foreign affairs activities. Old-generation national leaders like Zhou Enlai and Deng Xiaoping met foreign guests here, and it even briefly served as the temporary residence for the Royal Government of Cambodia.
- Residence for the Two Sessions: It has been the residence for the National Two Sessions for 20 consecutive years, promoting political and cultural exchanges among China's ethnic minorities and different religions.
- Numerous Honors: In 1996, it was awarded the title of "Asia's Largest Garden-Style Hotel" by the Development Research Center of the State Council. In 2007, it was listed in the first batch of the "Beijing Excellent Modern and Contemporary Architecture Protection List".

- Ethnic Style Architecture Complex: Designed by master architect Zhang Bo, the overall architectural style highlights traditional ethnic characteristics, with upturned eaves, ornate ridges, carved beams, and painted pillars. With the VIP Building (Guibin Lou) and Friendship Palace (Youyi Gong) as the central axis, four 'gong'-shaped buildings, such as Jingbin Lou and Yingbin Lou, are symmetrically distributed on both sides. All feature green glazed tile roofs, rich in ethnic color.
- Garden-Style Landscape: The hotel covers an area of 220,000 square meters, with over 60,000 square meters of green space. The courtyards boast lush flowers and trees, with nearly a hundred species of trees and flowers, over 5,300 arbors, 4 rare tree species, and 21 ancient trees. The four surrounding apartment-style communities, Suyuan, Xiangyuan, Yayuan, and Yiyuan, each have a distinct style.
