The Summer Palace in Beijing is straight-up magical! This place is not only stunning, but it also brings the chill vibes—perfect if you’re craving a little escape from city chaos. The architecture here is totally mesmerizing, each detail looking like it popped out of a fairytale.

Located at No. 19, Gongmeng Road, Haidian District, the Summer Palace is open from 6:00 to 20:00 during April to October (last entry at 19:00), and from 6:30 to 19:00 November to March (last entry at 18:00). Entry fee is ¥288.

What really blew my mind? How HUGE this place is—one half day is NOT enough to explore everything. You’ll stumble upon so many secret gardens, winding paths, and epic lakeside spots that you’ll want to drop your phone and just vibe in the moment.

Kunming Lake sits right in the heart of the Palace grounds, and it’s just as breathtaking. The lake is open from 6:30 to 18:00 (Apr-Oct) and 7:00 to 17:00 (Nov-Mar), and it gives off those peaceful, zen feels—trust me, your Insta won’t do it justice. It’s the perfect spot for a dreamy stroll or low-key boat ride.
