📸 798 Art District City Walk | Beijing's Trendy Art Landmark Check-in Guide
I highly recommend everyone take some time to stroll around 798. This art paradise, transformed from old factory buildings, is not only perfect for photos but also full of surprise exhibitions! The subway goes directly there, making it super convenient. Art lovers can easily spend a whole day exploring~
🖌️ Must-visit spots:
【UCCA Center for Contemporary Art】
📍No. 4 Jiuxianqiao Road, Area D, 798 Art District
Often hosts international exhibitions. The industrial-style building itself is a work of art, and the huge letter installation at the entrance is a fantastic photo backdrop! (Secret tip: Tuesdays are free admission days with the fewest visitors)
【Locomotive Square】
📍Central location in 798 Art District
The vintage green train carriage and tracks have a strong nostalgic vibe. The best time for photos is at 4 PM when the sunlight slants, giving a film-like effect! Next door is a super cool steampunk café.
【Graffiti Wall Cluster】
📍Near the South Gate of 798 Art District
You can encounter stunning murals around every corner. Recently, a new Chinese-style e-sports themed graffiti was added. Remember to wear solid-colored clothes for better photos~
🍴 Food & Snack Guide:
“Mumu Art Museum Café”
Floor-to-ceiling windows face the art installation area. The tiramisu and dirty coffee are popular choices~
“teamLab Borderless Restaurant”
An immersive dining experience with light and shadow themes. Recommended to visit at dusk for a romantic dinner while watching the light show!
📌 Tips:
1. Weekend markets (every Friday and Saturday) offer unique designer pieces
2. Wear comfortable flat shoes! Walking on cobblestones for long can be tiring
3. Bring a power bank; there are so many art installations you won’t want to stop taking photos
4. Hidden perk: Many galleries have rooftop terraces on the second floor where you can enjoy free panoramic views
🚇 Transportation Guide:
Exit B1 at Wangjing South Station on Metro Line 14, then a 5-minute shared bike ride straight to the South Gate
Or take bus 401/418/445 to "Dashanzi Road East" stop
