The weather was clear and fine, so we went to climb Jingshan. Get off at Tian'anmen East Subway Station, cycle to the Northeast Corner Tower of the Forbidden City, then walk along the Golden Water River to Shenwu Gate. After passing through the underpass, enter Jingshan Park with a 2 yuan ticket. Tour the Five Pavilions of Jingshan from east to west, and from Wanchun Pavilion, overlook the cityscape of Beijing in all four directions. After descending the mountain and exiting Jingshan South Gate, it happened to be sunset, with the afterglow illuminating Shenwu Gate. We continued along the Golden Water River to the Northwest Corner Tower, by which time the sun had already set.
Wanchun Pavilion cannot be ascended; one can only struggle to push through the crowds at the southern base of the pavilion towards the southern railing, standing on tiptoes to take photos, barely managing to capture an image of the Forbidden City overlooking the central axis. Not far from the northern side of Jingshan, there was a group of elderly clubs singing loudly, their voices rising and falling with a competitive air. They coexisted peacefully and complemented the hurried stream of tourists, also becoming an interesting sight in Jingshan.
