The autumn scenery at the Old Summer Palace is legendary! 10 yuan ticket to shoot stunning Chinese-style oil painting photos

🔥 Sisters! The autumn at Pingxiang Pavilion in the Old Summer Palace is so beautiful it leaves you speechless! I went to shoot a video last week and was instantly amazed—the golden fallen leaves + lake reflections + ancient-style corridor, every frame looks like stepping into a Monet oil painting world! A casual snap with my phone is wallpaper-worthy, and fans keep asking, "Did you add a million filters?" 😂
📸 Here are my locked photo spots:
1️⃣ Pingxiang Pavilion corridor: Stand in the middle of the pillars to shoot reflections, symmetrical composition + sunlight filtering through leaves, instant masterpiece!
2️⃣ East side by the lake: Fallen leaves form a golden carpet, crouch down for a low angle shot, person + reflection in one frame, atmosphere maxed out!
3️⃣ Northwest corner slant bridge: The bridge arch forms a natural frame, enclosing the distant Fuhai and nearby fallen leaves together, the layering is amazing!
⚠️ Tips to avoid pitfalls:
✔️ Arrive before 7:30! After 8 am, tour groups flood in and the corridor is packed;
✔️ Wear Hanfu or beige trench coat for better photos, don’t be like me in black (almost invisible 😭);
✔️ The thickest fallen leaves are at the southwest corner of Pingxiang Pavilion, but security patrols and won’t let you step on them, sneak a quick shot during their shift change!
🚇 Route to copy directly:
Take Metro Line 4 to Old Summer Palace Station, exit A northwest, enter from the south gate, turn right and walk along the lake for 5 minutes, you’ll see a row of red corridors! Don’t navigate to “Pingxiang Pavilion” (it’s a detour), just ask security for “the place with the most fallen leaves” for a faster route!
💰 Money-saving tip:
The 10 yuan ticket can be used with the Beijing Park Annual Card! After shooting at Pingxiang Pavilion, don’t leave—head to the Western Mansions ruins to shoot broken walls + ginkgo trees, a perfect blend of Chinese and Western ruins, the video got over 500k likes the same day!
⚠️ Limited time alert:
The leaves turned yellow earlier this year! The best viewing period is only the last two weeks left, miss it and wait a whole year! Hurry up!
