1.5h from Beijing suburbs to the "Little Switzerland" Jin Hai Lake Bibo Island Camping Guide!

The June breeze is warm, and the sky is as blue as if it has been washed~ It's really perfect for taking the kids out camping!

Today I’m sharing a hidden gem very close to Beijing—Jin Hai Lake Bibo Island. Just a 1.5-hour drive to embrace vast lawns and lake and mountain scenery, not losing at all to Switzerland!

📍Location: Jin Hai Lake Bibo Island

🎫Tickets: 158 RMB/person on weekdays, 228 RMB/person on weekends and holidays (children under 1.2 meters are free)

🚗Transportation: Self-driving is recommended, navigate to "Jin Hai Lake Bibo Island." The last section of the mountain road has many bends, drive slowly and carefully. Parking is free but spaces are limited, so arrive early on weekends~

⛺️Camping Gear Checklist:

✅Tent, canopy, folding chairs, roll-up table (the lawn is super soft, ground stakes can be hammered in by hand!)

✅Tents are available for rent, price list is in the last picture

❌Open flames are prohibited, but you can use a cartridge stove + small cookware for cooking

✅Power bank is a must, no charging spots by the lake

✅Recommended camping spots: Weilan Valley (large, flat lawn, great for running), Bibo Island lakeside (many trees and shade, perfect for afternoon rest)

1️⃣ Weilan Valley—truly lives up to the name "Little Switzerland of Beijing suburbs"! The S-shaped bends are super photogenic, every shot looks like a fairy tale

2️⃣ Harris Welcome Boat: ticket includes a 15-minute lake tour, the mountain reflections are very healing

3️⃣ Bibo Island Parent-Child Playground: rainbow slide, climbing net, mini archery, kids won’t want to leave!

4️⃣ Overnight camping: buy a 1-day ticket to stay overnight, stargazing at night is so romantic~

💡Tips: Bring plenty of snacks and fruit, apply sunscreen, pack an extra set of clothes for the kids, running on the lawn is super fun!
