Who says camping overnight with kids can’t be easy?

Jinhai Lake Bibo Island is really perfect for families with kids! Short drive, lots of activities, plenty of lawn to roll around on, and at night you can lie in your tent and count the stars✨

We just got back last week, and the kids declared this the best trip of the year!

🚗 How to get there:

Navigate to "Jinhai Lake Bibo Island," 1.5 hours direct from Beijing. The last stretch of mountain road has many curves, drive slowly~ Parking is free, but arrive early in peak season to secure a spot!

🏕️ Camping gear (overnight version):

▫️ Tent + canopy + moisture-proof mat (the lawn is super soft, ground stakes go in easily)

▫️ Inflatable mattress + sleeping bag (it gets chilly by the lake at night, keep warm)

▫️ Cassette stove + small pot (open flames are prohibited but you can use a cassette stove to cook noodles or warm milk)

▫️ Power banks xN! Bring portable chargers if you have them

▫️ Choose the campsite by the lake on Bibo Island, lots of trees for shade, kids can nap quietly~

🎪 Family activities:

✔️ Run and take photos in Weilan Valley: full of greenery, the S-shaped curve is a must-visit

✔️ Take the welcome boat tour: 15 minutes around the lake, enjoy the breeze and mountain views

✔️ Bibo Island playground to burn energy: rainbow slides, climbing, archery… kids will be completely worn out🔋

✔️ Stargazing at night: little light pollution by the lake, super clear starry sky!

Tickets include most activities, very convenient

Tent rental available (highly recommended to save effort!)

Bring mosquito repellent and a small night light for overnight with kids

Cook noodles for breakfast on the cassette stove, dining by the lake feels amazing~
