Not really abroad! Kyoto aesthetics! Hidden Japanese-style hot spring

Beijing Yipiao Inn is a Japanese-style courtyard hidden in the dense forest of the Western Hills, with 24/7 butler service, truly bringing Kyoto to Beijing. It’s the first time experiencing wabi-sabi aesthetics comparable to Karuizawa in the north.

🛋️ Room Design
The room type we stayed in is a textbook example of Japanese aesthetics! A 12㎡ tatami tea room faces the floor-to-ceiling window. In the morning, sunlight passes through the camphor wood door casting light spots on the rice paper, and the koi in the water feature outside swim following the shadows. The amenities are a full set of CPB, and the hairdryer is a Dyson!

🍱 Dining Surprise
Originally came for the private hot spring, but got hooked by the food! Dinner’s kaiseki cuisine uses rainbow trout from Miyun Reservoir, and the crab roe soup dumplings at breakfast are bursting with juice. The best part is afternoon tea, where the butler directly delivers a set of three-colored dango and matcha to the hot spring poolside.

♨️ Private Hot Spring Experience
The carbonated spring eye goes directly into the room, and the butler lays rose petals every day at 6 PM. Praise this design: the hot spring pool is half indoors and half extending to the terrace. When it rains, pull down the bamboo blinds to soak while listening to the rain; on sunny days, lie back and count the stars.
