I spent a day in Downtown Beirut, and although it wasn’t crowded — in fact, the streets were surprisingly empty 🏙️ — it was still a visit worth having, especially for those interested in the Blue Dome Mosque (Muhammad Al-Amin Mosque). 🕌 This iconic building with its stunning blue dome is a must-see, and its grandeur stands out amidst the quiet city streets.
The area felt peaceful, almost deserted, with shops closed and very few people around. Still, if you're in Beirut, it's definitely worth a visit. You can enjoy the architecture and the wide avenues without the usual hustle and bustle. 😌
Despite seeing military presence in some places, the area felt incredibly safe, with a good sense of freedom of movement. It’s a historical district that has been shaped by the city’s resilience, and even though it’s calm, there’s a certain charm to experiencing it without the usual crowds.
Overall, if you’re in the area and looking to soak in some culture, the Blue Dome Mosque and the architecture around it are definitely worth a visit! 🌍
