Exploring Belem was an absolut

Exploring Belem was an absolute highlight of my trip, thanks to world-class monuments and the ultimate Portuguese pastry 🚶♂️🍮. Jerónimos Monastery hits you with jaw-dropping architecture and intricate stonework—super photogenic especially on a sunny Lisbon day. Belém Tower was closed (major bummer!), but don’t skip it for the classic riverside photo op—those sculpted figures out front make the spot feel seriously historic.

Top Spots to Visit in Belem:
Jerónimos Monastery (Praça do Império 1400-206 Lisboa): Open Tuesday–Sunday, 09:30–17:30 (last entry 17:00). Admission €12.40. Get there early to avoid queues and catch golden morning light streaming through the arches!
Belém Tower (Av. Brasília, 1400-038 Lisboa): Usually open Tuesday–Sunday, 09:30–18:00 (last entry 17:30). Closed Mondays and select holidays—check the schedule in advance so you don’t miss out.

Pro tip: Right next to Jerónimos, you’ll find epic Portuguese custard tarts (pastéis de nata). Don’t leave Belem without grabbing some—warm, flaky and perfectly sweet! Eat them fresh for maximum deliciousness.

Getting Around: Take tram 15 from central Lisbon straight to Belem; it’s cheap and scenic. Bring cash or use a transport card for hassle-free trips around the city.

Bonus tips: Lisbon weather can be unpredictable—pack sunscreen and a light jacket just in case. Most attractions close on Mondays, so plan accordingly. Buy tickets ahead with trip.com to skip the lines!
