A must-visit for Fukuoka travel: Beppu Onsen in Oita ♨️

Speaking of Beppu, the "Beppu Hell Tour" is a must-see! 👹
A journey that visits seven locations, each boasting hot springs nearly 100 degrees Celsius. 🚶
The Kannawa/Kamegawa area, where the Hell Tour takes place, has apparently been erupting with steam and boiling water for over a thousand years. Because it was an inaccessible area, it came to be called "Hell" by locals. 🥸
≪Sea Hell≫
The journey through this historic site begins at "Sea Hell," a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty. The largest of Beppu's hells, Sea Hell lives up to its name: its cobalt blue color, reminiscent of the ocean. It's so beautiful it almost feels like hell. ✨
This blue color is apparently caused by dissolved iron sulfate in the hot springs! The tropical ocean-like colors and rising hot steam make for an overwhelming natural beauty. 👌
≪Onishibozu Jigoku≫
Nearby Umi Jigoku is Onishibozu Jigoku.
It was named after the boiling gray hot mud, which resembles a shaved head. 🤔
The hot mud forms beautiful circular layers, creating a truly magical sight. 🫡
There's also a foot bath nearby, so you can soothe your tired feet after a day of exploring. 😌
