Oita Prefecture is a hot spring prefecture, the most famous of which is Kannawa Onsen, but the Alum Onsen Yunohana (Onsen Hana), away from the crowds, is the most ancient and quaint, with all wooden houses having thatched roofs. The more hot spring flowers there are, the more rare minerals the hot spring contains, which means the quality of the hot spring is higher.
Don’t be surprised if you see a tiny bit of hot spring flower in the Mingfan Hot Spring, because it takes a year for the flower to crystallize. Let these good trace elements stay in your body overnight, and they will absorb the remaining trace elements in your body through your pores, which is good for your body.
Visit Yunohana in Yunosato, climb up to see Beppu Alum Bridge, eat Okamotoya pudding near Jigoku, eat udon noodles and then go to the hot spring maintenance land to soak in mud bath. It was a perfect trip.
