The oldest hot spring in Kyushu

Oita Prefecture is a hot spring prefecture, the most famous of which is Kannawa Onsen, but the Alum Onsen Yunohana (Onsen Hana), away from the crowds, is the most ancient and quaint, with all wooden houses having thatched roofs. The more hot spring flowers there are, the more rare minerals the hot spring contains, which means the quality of the hot spring is higher.
Don’t be surprised if you see a tiny bit of hot spring flower in the Mingfan Hot Spring, because it takes a year for the flower to crystallize.
