Bintan resort you'll surely come back for!

My sister and I stayed at The Residence Bintan for 3D2N for my birthday celebration last April. We stayed at the Upper Sea View Suite. Everything from that trip was perfect. My only gripe was that we wished we could have stayed longer.

The resort's location is secluded perfect for that much needed break from work. This would require 1.5 hrs. of travel from the ferry terminal, we did not mind though as we just slept thru the whole free shuttle ride with free cookies, water, & cold towel. Once arrived, we were just in awe of the breathtaking views everywhere in the resort.

Check-in was relatively smooth and easy. A miniscule gripe for me was that we weren't offered the welcome drinks as we step in the lobby and wait for someone to check us in, unlike the other guests that arrived with us. Doesn't really diminish the overall satisfaction with the service and our stay though. Reception staff were very friendly. We were eventually offered the drinks when I walked up to the counter and did the check-in.

Our suite was very spacious & beautifully designed. I enjoyed the hammock and the tub. The sunrise and sunset view from the outside deck was very pretty. The suite also comes with 2 bicycles for you to use as the resort is really massive. We did not use it though since we didn't know how to ride bikes haha. Instead, we used the free buggy service a lot of times. There were a lot of complimentary activities but what I really enjoyed was the private beach especially during low tide. View from the pool is crazy!

Food and drinks were good. We tried all the dining options available. Breakfast spread was good! We dined at Rica Rica, food was great! 5 stars! We dined at the Dining Room, food was also good. The drinks at the pool bar were also nice, + points for the live music! Rimbun grill buffet was definitely worth it. The setting was very whimsical with fairy lights dining by the sea at night. We also tried the afternoon tea they offered. The staff also delivers fruit and snacks to our suite. Yum!

I really want to commend the service. Staff were all smiles and very friendly. My introvert self took a step back and just enjoyed the small talks and greetings from the staff.

Will definitely be back and try other accommodation options! 😍
