Lingshan, located in the northern part of Shangrao County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, lies between four national scenic areas: Sanqingshan, Guifeng, Longhushan, and Wuyishan. The scenic area boasts 72 peaks, with the main peak at 1,496 meters above sea level; 36 waterfalls, 99 palaces (temples, halls), 108 scenic spots, and over 400 scenic features.
Lingshan is both ancient and magical. Not only does it boast beautiful scenery, but it also boasts numerous fascinating legends. A branch of Huaiyu Mountain, the mountain range rises steeply, meandering westward until it splits into two branches at Baiyun Peak, one heading north and the other west, forming a crescent moon embedded in the northeastern Jiangxi landscape. The rolling hills, resembling a sleeping Jiangnan beauty, have earned the name "Sleeping Beauty."
Here is a rare circular granite peak forest landform in the world, with 72 peaks, each of which is tall and straight, stretching for more than a hundred miles, like a giant dragon on the land of China, entrenched in the north of Shangrao City. It is listed in Taoist books as the "33rd Blessed Place in the World".
