I just got back from Binzhou, and let me tell you, it was an amazing experience! I have to share it with you all, along with some money-saving tips.
Things to Do in Binzhou
Zhonghai Water Conservancy Scenic Area: The scenery here is stunning, with crystal-clear lake water reflecting the blue sky. Stroll along the lakeside, feel the gentle breeze, and enjoy the tranquility. The most surprising sight is the "Binzhou Zhonghai Aircraft Carrier," which looks like a real aircraft carrier docked here. Climb aboard for a panoramic view of the entire scenic area. It's a great spot for photos, and the ticket prices are very reasonable. Here's a tip: follow the scenic area's official WeChat account for occasional coupons and discounts.
Wei Family Manor: This place is steeped in history. The manor's architecture is unique, showcasing the wisdom of ancient laborers. Walking through it feels like stepping back in time. Every architectural detail is worth savoring, with exquisite wood and stone carvings. I recommend hiring a guide for a deeper understanding of the manor's stories. Alternatively, you can do some research online and join other tour groups for free explanations, saving on guide fees.
Food in Binzhou
Binzhou Guozi Bing: A must-try local delicacy. Freshly made, the crispy outer layer and rich filling of meat and vegetables offer a mouthful of happiness. There are several time-honored shops in the city with authentic flavors. These old shops offer affordable prices and the most authentic taste.
Yellow River Carp: Binzhou is near the Yellow River, and the carp here is tender and delicious. Try the braised carp, with its rich sauce coating the tender fish, and you won't be able to stop eating. Some riverside farmhouses serve excellent Yellow River carp at much more reasonable prices than city restaurants, with fresh ingredients caught from the river that day.
Money-Saving Tips
For accommodation, consider staying near universities in Binzhou, such as around Binzhou University. Hotel prices are relatively low, and transportation is convenient. Use public transportation for travel; Binzhou's buses are convenient and reach all attractions. You can also download local travel apps for occasional discounts.
Binzhou is a fantastic travel destination with fun attractions, delicious food, and great value for money. If you're planning a trip to Binzhou, follow my tips, and you won't go wrong! If you find this note helpful, give it a like and save it, so more people can discover the charm of Binzhou.
