Brúarfoss Waterfall Travel Guide

Brúarfoss Waterfall, also known as the Tiffany Blue Waterfall, is located in the Grimsnes area of southwestern Iceland. It is famous for its turquoise-blue water, formed by glacial meltwater filtered through volcanic rocks, earning it the title of "Iceland's purest water spectacle." The waterfall spans approximately 3 meters in width and features a tiered cascade created by multiple streams. The striking contrast between the white mineral deposits and the blue-green water is particularly enchanting, especially when covered in snow during winter, giving it a dreamlike appearance.

Transportation Guide
Starting from Reykjavik, drive northeast along Route 356 for about 100 kilometers, which takes approximately 1.5 hours. Navigate to "Brúarfoss Parking," where parking fees start at 750 ISK per vehicle. From the parking lot, you will need to hike 3.5 kilometers on a gravel path to reach the waterfall. It is recommended to wear non-slip hiking boots and bring crampons for added safety.
