Boracay: Scallops in Lemon Sauce

When I was planning my trip to Boracay Island, I researched reviews of cafes and restaurants on the island. Every time I asked, "Where can I eat delicious Filipino food in Boracay?" someone would always recommend visiting Pig Out Bistro.

📍Boracay Hwy Central Balabag, Malay, Aklan Province 5608 Philippines

Reservations are highly recommended here as the cafe is very popular among tourists, and it’s always fully booked.

📖 The most popular dishes on the menu are oysters and scallops. They also serve shrimp and meat. Orders are usually served within 20-30 minutes, but the wait goes by quickly.

🍲 We ordered scallops with lemon curd, and this dish turned out to be the reason I kept coming back. Not only was the presentation beautiful, but the scallops themselves were incredibly delicious. They were large, had a firm texture, and were topped with seaweed. The lemon sauce was absolutely finger-licking good!

🥘 We also decided to try Green Oysters, and I was pleasantly surprised. It turns out oysters don’t always have to be slimy (forgive me, gourmets); they can have a firm texture similar to scallops or shrimp.

🐠 Additionally, we ordered Grilled Tuna. It was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to the perfect level. The tuna was served with stewed vegetables.

For me personally, The Pig Out Bistro was the tastiest cafe on Boracay Island.
