The IHG InterContinental, formerly a Hilton hotel built over 40 years ago, retains the original Hilton style, including the public spaces designed by Austrian modernist master Harry Seidler. The hotel has two entrances: Queen Street Mall and Elizabeth Street, making it very convenient and lively for sightseeing. The space boasts high ceilings and includes a swimming pool, tennis court, and gym, all with comprehensive amenities.
The rooms appear to have been renovated, with warm colors and a somewhat dated feel.
Overall, the room was decent. The city view, including a view of City Hall, was excellent. Two bottles of water were provided by the bed, along with all amenities (slippers, bathrobe, toothbrush set, etc.).
