Turtle Island｜A romantic island with love legends and sea views

After getting off the Songdo Sea Cable Car, walk down the escalator to the opposite coast and you will arrive at this small but story-filled "Turtle Island". The island itself is not big, but there are two bronze statues and a Korean sign on the island, telling a legend about a fisherman and a human dragon (mermaid) who met and fell in love.

The entire island has been planned to blend perfectly with the surrounding coastline. The stone sculptures on the island, such as turtles and eggshell landscapes, are also related to this legend. You can sit in the eggshell landscape, watch the sea and enjoy a moment of tranquility. It is a small corner full of healing feeling.

There are trails and small bridges connecting the reefs on the island, extending to the sea viewing point, where you can see Songdo and Yeongdo in Busan in the distance. The scenery is vast and the view is excellent, which is especially suitable for taking pictures or leisurely walks. Although this is not a major tourist hotspot, it has just the right amount of storytelling and comfort, and is a secret place worth visiting when visiting Matsushima.
