If you enjoy the sunset at Dadaepo Beach and the Samgwangsa Lantern Festival together during your Busan trip, you can complete an impressive journey both day and night.
Day 1 - Dadaepo Dream Sunset Fountain & Beach Walk
On the afternoon of the first day, head to Dadaepo Beach in Saha-gu and enjoy a beach walk while waiting for the sunset. At sunset, enjoy the Dream Sunset Fountain music and lighting show. The performance where water columns up to 55m high dance to the rhythm of the music is a special experience for families and couples. The fountain operates from April to October, and the weekday and weekend times are different, so check in advance .
In the evening, enjoy a simple meal at a cafe or food truck near the beach and enjoy the atmosphere after sunset.
Day 2 - Samgwangsa Lantern Festival
The next evening, visit Samgwangsa Temple located at the foot of Baekyangsan Mountain in Busanjin-gu. Every year around Buddha's Birthday (late April to mid-May), the Samgwangsa Lantern Festival is held, with approximately 40,000 to 70,000 lanterns lighting up the entire temple. The lighting continues every evening from 7 p.m. to midnight or 1 a.m., creating a fantastic night view.
You can enter the temple at any time, but since parking space is limited, we recommend **taking public transportation (Seomyeon Station → Busanjin-gu Village Bus No. 15)**.
For photography enthusiasts, the 2nd floor veranda of Jigwanjeon, the stairs in front of Daeungjeon, and the photo zone near Geungnakjeon are popular spots.
We also recommend preparing for your trip with a hearty and clean meal at nearby Daesan Boribap early in the evening.
