🌊🚢 “Sea, Ships & Stories” at the National Maritime Museum of Korea — Busan, South Korea

#hellohalloween

Located in the Yeongdo-gu district of Busan at 45 Haeyang-ro 301beon-gil, the National Maritime Museum of Korea opens a wide gateway into the country’s seafaring past and maritime future. The building itself is an architectural marvel—designed to resemble a gliding ship or droplet of water that symbolises the museum’s mission.

Inside, you’ll dive into over 12,000 maritime artefacts, including a half-scale replica of the 16th-century Joseon diplomatic ship, expansive themed galleries on ship-building, ocean science and marine industry, and interactive zones designed especially for children. Whether you’re exploring ship models, marine ecosystems or the immersive 4D theatre, it’s a dynamic stop for all ages.

Visiting is both educational and visually striking—entry is free for the permanent galleries, and it’s open Tuesday through Sunday (09:00–18:00 on weekdays, extended to 21:00 on summer Saturdays). Plan to spend about 1–2 hours, and consider pairing the visit with a stroll around Busan’s coastal views in Yeongdo for the full maritime context.
