Since its appearance until now, Milk Teeth has become the catchiest, most sought after, most to go pastry & coffee kiosk a must visit if you go to Bali, especially the Canggu area. Now Gigi Susu has a place to dine-in. The architecture is not like what is currently being used by most other shops, such as Mediterranean, Art Deco, Industrial, Minimalist, etc. This building, which is dominated by old teak & ironwood, combines the feel of a roughluxe barn house & modern touches such as platform floors the top is detached from the main body of the building, etc. The entire space uses natural ventilation & lighting. The west & east sides are dominated by massive areas of wood, so that The interior doesn't get too hot from the sun. Not only wood, the lighting feature also uses metal lamps from ancient times which are re-used, upcycled to provide added value to the space. Likewise with the furniture, almost nothing is the same. I enjoyed a small, dense piccolo in a cup paper, and almont croissants which are crispy, delicious & larger than average, while observing, appreciating and admiring every part of this tectonic building whose beauty comes from the play of its structures.
