The Great Safari Experience

Fun run in the wild! Indeed it was a great experience. Aside from a healthy running exercise, I got to see for the first time the animals that I only read about in the books like giraffes, zebra, oryx, etc. There are about a thousand participants in The Great Safari Run event, even kids participated on 3km run. The event started at 6 am and ended around 7am. After the run, refreshments await on the finish line and we were entertained by the Bird's Show.

After the main event, I got the whole afternoon to roam around and explore the over 170 hectares park. Aside from the animals, it has a garden perfect for the plantitas out there. There are restaurants and canteen available if you get hungry.

Cebu Safari is located in Carmen Cebu. You can ride a bus from Cebu City and ask the driver to drop you off on the said place. There is a huge banner on the main road so you won't surely miss it. But wait, the park is still kilometers away from the main road and you still need to take a habal-habal or motorcycle ride to take you to the entrance. Entrance fee is 900 pesos for adults while 450 pesos for kids.
