Magellan's Cross, a symbol of Cebu Island✝️
This famous spot is said to symbolize the spread of Christianity in the Philippines.

The current cross contains a real wooden cross, covered with lumber to prevent damage and theft.

It is located inside a small chapel, and the domed ceiling above features a beautiful mural depicting Magellan's missionary work!

Next to the chapel is the Basilica of the Holy Child⛪️
This is the oldest Catholic church in the Philippines, and the locals praying inside create a very solemn atmosphere.
