Bogor
Just a 1-hour drive from the capital, Bogor boasts an average annual temperature of 25°C and lush greenery. Enjoy rainforest hikes, petting deer, and capturing stunning photos… all at a great price!💃
🌧️ About Bogor: Abundant rain and deer offer a truly healing experience!**
"Indonesia's City of Rain": It rains 300 out of 365 days here🌧️! Remember to bring an umbrella, but the tropical forest after the rain is breathtakingly beautiful~
A presidential summer retreat: Popular since the Dutch colonial era, this "back garden" now has hundreds of deer roaming freely on the presidential villa grounds🦌!
Fun fact: Bogor is home to one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world, featuring the giant Amorphophallus titanum (corpse flower).
Recommended attractions: The Bogor Botanical Garden boasts a rich variety of plants, representing diverse ecosystems such as tropical rainforests, grasslands, and lakes. Visitors can explore on foot or by electric cart. Don't miss special attractions like the Butterfly House and the Aquatic Plant Area.
🍜 Foodie alert!
Market treasures: At Pasar Bogor Market, you can enjoy durian for next to nothing! Try the spicy and sour fruit salad (Asinan)—it might sound strange, but it's addictive!
Rainforest cafes: Converted from old colonial villas, these cafes offer an enchanting atmosphere with antique furniture and Kopi Luwak (civet coffee)~
⚠️ Tips to avoid pitfalls:
Transportation: Take the KRL train directly from Jakarta (super cheap!), and avoid unlicensed taxis! Use Grab for affordable rides within the city~
What to wear: Wear non-slip shoes! The rainforest stone paths are incredibly slippery.
Etiquette: When visiting mosques🕌️, avoid wearing shorts and take photos quietly!
