Chamonix, the venue for the first Winter Olympics in 1924, is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-L'Alpes region in southeastern France.
Chamonix is located in the north of Mont Blanc, between Aiguille Rouge and the famous Aiguille du Midi. It is one of the oldest ski resorts in France.
The cable car that takes you to Mont Blanc, the main peak of the Alps, rises to the Aiguille du Midi at an altitude of 3,842 meters, from where you can enter the cross-country ski track in Blanche. You can also take the cable car from Aiguille du Midi to the Italian side, where you can see Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks from different angles.
On sunny days with dark clouds, the city and surrounding areas of Chamonix are also excellent places to view dozens of peaks such as Mont Blanc and Aiguille du Midi, as well as several glaciers. #Overseas Travel #European Travel #Mountain #European Town #European Travel #Alps #Mont Blanc #Cable Car #Paragliding #Snow Mountain
