Changbai Mountain South Slope - Heavenly Lake

Starting from a guesthouse near Changbai Mountain West Station, we hired a car to visit the South Slope of Changbai Mountain. The round-trip fare was 500 RMB, and the drive took about 2 hours. The South Slope is well-organized, with shuttle buses available to take visitors up the mountain. The bus ride up takes approximately 40 minutes, and after getting off, it's just a 300-meter walk to reach Heavenly Lake.

Heavenly Lake is often shrouded in mist, which occasionally clears to reveal its stunning beauty. The ethereal mist adds to the charm of the lake, making its renowned reputation well-deserved. I felt fortunate to witness this breathtaking scenery in person.

The Yuehua Twin Waterfalls are relatively small and ordinary, but the journey is made delightful by the numerous butterflies along the way, some of which may even land on you.

The Yalu River Canyon is also quite average, but it's worth visiting once.
