A museum with a very good experience, highly recommended.
[Request] Queue and reservation: During the National Day holiday, normal reservations are sufficient, no need to rush for time slots. The number of visitors is not too many, orderly, and not crowded.
[Pin] Transportation and parking: There was a queue to enter the parking lot; we waited about twenty minutes to get in.
[Process] Exhibition content: First, this is a combination of a museum, science museum, and geology and optics museum, suitable for friends of different ages, making it an ideal choice for home travel and relaxing with kids; secondly, although the museum is not very large overall, the exhibition layout is very clear. On the second floor, four basic exhibition halls display key cultural relics in chronological order, from the ancient Stone Age to Goguryeo, Balhae Kingdom, and then to the Liao, Jin, and Ming-Qing periods; even more rare is that although the number of exhibits is not as many as some larger provincial museums, the quality is by no means inferior.
The first treasure-level cultural relic you see is the ☞ Han Dynasty gold and silver “Bingwu Divine Hook” bronze belt hook, with very exquisite details, a unique design of two hands holding a fish, gold-inlaid patterns all over the body adding a mysterious feel, and the entire piece inlaid with gemstones showing elegance and luxury, with ruby eyes particularly sharp and vivid. Moving on, there are many impressive items such as the white marble ear cup, and numerous gold artifacts from the Balhae Kingdom and Liao-Jin periods that catch the eye. Especially notable is the gold-buckled white jade belt, with a conch shell and two gold rings hanging in the middle, decorated with honeysuckle and cloud patterns, and a pearl pattern base, clearly showing the Jin Dynasty Jurchen style.
The whole museum visit takes about two hours, with a clear focus and well-organized. Personally, I feel it is very worthwhile to see.
