Inspired by the "Buddhist Kingdom on the Sea," starting from Xiamen Island and taking the highway, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there, with a toll fee of 29 yuan. If you don't want to drive yourself, you can also join a small group tour for 66 yuan, which includes round-trip transportation and a stop at "Little Weihai" Xiangzhi Pier along the way, much more cost-effective than going on your own.

The sunset and night view here are indeed worth a special visit. Arriving around 5 PM, the orange sunset beautifully highlights the red walls and yellow tiles, creating a very atmospheric scene. The sound of waves crashing against the rocks blends wonderfully with the tranquility of the temple. When the lights come on at night, the temple by the sea shines golden, making for great photos, but it does get crowded, so if you want shots without people, you’ll have to wait quite a while.

There are very few dining options nearby. There are no restaurants inside the temple, and the food stalls along the Golden Coast are average in taste and not cheap. It’s recommended to check nearby restaurants in advance.

Overall, visiting Luojia Temple to see the sunset and night view of a seaside temple is worth it, but it’s best to drive yourself, avoid weekends, and check the tides in advance for a much better experience.
