📸Three must-see spots
1️⃣ Young Mao Zedong Statue
✔️Best photo spot: Stone steps of Wangjiang Pavilion on the right side of the statue (use a wide-angle lens and shoot upwards to avoid the crowds)
✔️Secret angle: Lawn behind the left side of the statue (take a photo of the side view with the Xiang River)
🌇Best time: 1 hour after sunrise/2 hours before sunset (stunning backlight!)
2️⃣ Zhenjiang Pavilion
▫️Ancient pavilion + panoramic river view, a great place for Hanfu photography
3️⃣ Hundred-meter Fountain
⏰Three shows daily at 10:00/15:00/19:30 (additional shows on weekends)
4️⃣ Hidden gems
✔️Zhuzhang Ferry: A replica of the ancient Changsha ferry crossing, less crowded and great for photos
✔️Citrus Culture Park: The park is filled with the fragrance of oranges in the fall (picking experience available)
🍔Food recommendations:
There are some snack stalls in the scenic area where you can buy Changsha specialties such as stinky tofu and sugar-oiled baba. The prices are slightly higher than in the city, but it is convenient. If you want to try more food, you can go to the nearby Pozi Street and Taiping Street after the tour, where you can find all kinds of authentic Hunan cuisine.
