I visited during the extremely hot Obon period. There were so many people that it felt like it was about 40 degrees. That's just how it felt.

First of all, Chinese people can't get on the tourist bus (40 yuan) without a reservation in advance. Same-day reservations are almost impossible.
Show your passport, explain that you don't speak Chinese, and line up. If there is no tourist bus, you'll have to walk for an hour, but it's too hot, so I gave up.

You can't see Mao Zedong right away after getting off the bus, you have to make a long detour before you can finally see him.
It's worth seeing.
