Aiwan Pavilion is located in Qingfeng Gorge, Yuelu Mountain, Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is known as one of the "Four Famous Pavilions in China" along with Zuiweng Pavilion in Anhui Province, Huxin Pavilion in Hangzhou City, and Taoran Pavilion in Beijing City.
I remember the line "Stop the car and sit to enjoy the maple forest in the evening" in the poem "Mountain Travel", which was left by Du Mu when he passed by this place. This time, after passing Yuelu Academy, I came to the Aiwan Pavilion while admiring the garden scenery along the way. I saw a small amount of maple leaves this time, which was worth the trip.
The Aiwan Pavilion has double eaves, eight pillars, glazed green tiles, and flying corners. From a distance it looks like it is leaping into the sky. The inner pillars are painted red, and the outer pillars are made of granite, making it very stable. The author of the title is none other than Chairman Mao, the founding father of the People's Republic of China.
