Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise Family Trip Guide

We wanted to take the kids somewhere fun and relaxing for the New Year, and after much thought, we decided on Longemont Paradise. The fireworks from the hotel balcony were the main attraction, haha.

📍[Longemont Paradise Ancient Town Hotel] You can upgrade to a fireworks room for CNY 100, subject to availability. I arrived at the hotel at 1:30 pm and was told that the fireworks rooms were fully booked, but my room had a good view of the fireworks too. The hotel is more business-oriented, but there is a small penguin house and toy store on the first floor for kids.

📍[Taihu Ancient Town] The ancient town is opposite the hotel and has various performances, such as iron flower, fountain, fire pot, and song and dance.

📍[Longemont International Circus City] I booked circus tickets at the last minute, and all the first-class and VIP seats were sold out. I bought regular tickets on the official website and upgraded them on-site. Trust me, you must upgrade to the VIP area. There is interaction with the performers, and you are closer to the props and parade, so the view is better. The first-class seats are closer to the front, but you have to look back and forth, which is tiring. The diving performance at the end will splash water on you, so bring a raincoat if you want to sit there.

📍[Ice and Snow Town] The ice world is divided into a ski area and an ice and snow town area, which are charged separately. We went to the ice and snow town, which is an indoor amusement park with an ice and snow theme. The facilities are free, such as the carousel, Ferris wheel, spinning cup, elevator, and train. But the facilities are small, so they are more suitable for young children. Bicycles, tricycles, and dolphin aids are provided free of charge in the ice skating area, but they are in high demand, so you may not get one. The ice skating area is cold, so dress your kids warmly. There is also a paid playground on the first floor for those with energy to burn. There are also song and dance performances in the town from time to time, so ask the staff if you are interested.

📍The [Water World] at Longemont Paradise is closed in winter, and the [Animal World] is not recommended in winter because it is cold and the animals are less active. We didn't see the song and dance performance [Drunken Taihu Lake] or the [Holographic Children's Theater] either. We'll save them for next time.
