Wuluo Zhongli Mountain

Wuluo Zhongli Mountain, also known as Heng Mountain, is located in Longzhouping, southwest of the county seat of Changyang Tujia Autonomous County, within the Qingjiang area of Yichang City, Hubei Province. The island is surrounded by water on all sides, with rippling blue waves; the island features five peaks scattered unevenly, with steep cliffs standing tall, elegant and graceful. It is the birthplace of the Ba people, with a history of over four thousand years. On the mountain top, there are the Linjun Temple and the Deji Niangniang Pavilion. According to the "Book of the Later Han," Wuluo Zhongli Mountain is the place where the Ba ancestor Linjun Wuxiang threw a sword to proclaim himself king. The Ba leader Linjun led his tribe from here to all directions. The Tujia people often come to this mountain to worship their ancestors, offer incense, and pray for blessings.
