A one-day tour guide to Chaozhou West Lake: a poetic stroll among the mountains, rivers and humanities

Chaozhou West Lake, this piece of jade embedded in the ancient city of eastern Guangdong, attracts countless tourists with its classical charm of mountains and rivers. If you want to see all the highlights in one day, please keep this guide!

Transportation Guide:

You can take a bus in Chaozhou City to the "West Lake Park" stop, or drive and navigate to the "Chaozhou West Lake Parking Lot". It is recommended to enter the park early in the morning to avoid the peak crowds. The lake is shrouded in mist in the morning light, like an ink painting.

Tour route:

It is best to enter from the north gate and travel in a clockwise direction. The first stop must be the Pavilion in the Center of the Lake. The hexagonal pavilion with red pillars and green tiles is reflected in the water, and every shot will be an ancient style blockbuster. Travel west along the lake and visit the Lalu. This revolutionary memorial hall carries the historical memory of the "Chaozhou Seven Days of Red". The red exhibition walls and the lake light complement each other, showing grandeur in solemnity.

Must-see attractions:

1. Hibiscus Pond: When the lotus flowers are in full bloom, the pink and white petals and the Nine-Curve Bridge complement each other;

2. Revolutionary Martyrs Monument: Climb the steps to pay tribute and overlook the panoramic view of West Lake;

3. Hulu Mountain: Climb up the stone steps to Shou'an Rock on the top of the mountain, where you can see the Han River passing through the city like a belt.

Food Supplies:

After leaving the park, head straight to the time-honored shop next to the West Lake Hongqiao. A bowl of hot beef ball rice noodle soup or a portion of salty rice noodle will bring the trip to a perfect end with the Teochew flavor.

Tips:

• The entire walk in the park takes about 2 hours, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes;

• In the evening, the lights on the lakeside gradually brighten, which is suitable for taking night photos;

• Free admission, but please pay attention to the opening hours of the exhibitions in the museum.

Chaozhou West Lake, every step and every scene is a story, waiting for you to write your own Jiangnan poem.
