American Village atmosphere in Okinawa ❤️🎄

Chatan Town, a major landmark in Okinawa, is the American Village. ✨

This town is filled with a Western atmosphere and vibe. Its landmark is a large Ferris wheel, along with vintage-style shops. Shop for vintage American goods, and enjoy Western-style restaurants with must-try dishes like tako rice. 🌮

When we visited, it was Christmastime, and the atmosphere was amazing, perfect for the festive season. It was a delightful stroll through the cold weather. If you're in Okinawa, you can stroll around and take photos. I recommend going in the evening, before sunset, and staying until dark to enjoy the atmosphere both while the lights are still on. At night, the buildings are lit up with decorative lights and the shop signs are beautiful. ☺️

🚗 Getting there: If you're renting a car, search the map and pin American Village. It's about a half-hour drive from Kokusai Dori. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the city, but there are few buses, so you might have to wait a bit.
