In 1957, Marc Riboud was one of the first Western photographers to enter New China to take photos. In the more than 50 years since then, Marc Riboud has traveled to and from China 22 times. He claims that he has wandered around Beijing's Wangfujing Street more often than on the Champs-Elysées in Paris, making him one of the Western photographers who has spent the longest time photographing China.
Marc Riboud overcame numerous obstacles and traveled tirelessly across China. In his works, we see poetic scenery, the changes that have taken place over the centuries, and the simplicity and tenacity of ordinary Chinese people.

A glance back
Those times that today's audiences have never experienced
A story that never stops
A world I've never known
Those fragments of time
Through the lens of Marc Riboud
Condensed into poetry
Still conveying warmth and hope
