#discoverchina
Located in the west side of Tianfu Square, Chengdu Museum (New Building - Chengdu China Shadow Puppets Museum) is a huge 5-storey building collected more than 200,000 exhibits, ranging from the the Neolithic Age to the the Republican period of China. Here you can see regular city relics and unique regional folk exhibitions of shadow puppets, puppetry, wooden carvings. Special international exhibitions will be held in Chengdu Museum irregularly.

Beside sanxingdui items, the stone hippo is definitely must see. It was buried in the Tianfu square to prevent the city from flood. One of the significant page of the city development!
