The only hotel I've stayed at three times for business trips in Chengdu!

🏨Hotel Name: Waldorf Astoria Chengdu

📍Location:
Located near Chengdu Twin Towers and Jiaozi Park, with YinTai Mall right downstairs. Adjacent to Jiaozi Park, it offers convenient transportation, abundant dining options, and a Hema supermarket. Compared to downtown hotels, it's closer to the airport. Some rooms offer views of the Twin Towers with good visibility. Note that it's quite a distance from Taikoo Li and prone to traffic congestion.

🏘️Room Type/Layout:

- The Twin Towers view room I stayed in was on the 46th floor, the highest guest floor, covering about 50+ square meters.
- Features an independent toilet room and dual vanity sinks to minimize disturbance. The separate walk-in closet and dressing table are signature Waldorf features.
- The bathroom has a strong design aesthetic and is well-maintained, though the bathtub is slightly small.

🛌Amenities/Facilities:

- The hotel embodies Waldorf's classic "old money" style with wood-dominated decor.
- The lobby, restaurants, and pool are on the top floors, with guest rooms below. No executive lounge.
- Poolside drinking water requires self-service with paper cups from a dispenser.

🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
Generally meets basic accommodation needs.

🍽️Dining Experience:

- Breakfast hours are busy, with 30 minutes shorter service time than The Ritz-Carlton. Offers à la carte items like Eggs Benedict and Wagyu beef, though the latter had long wait times and occasional order duplication.
- Chinese restaurant staff could improve their menu knowledge.

💁Service Level:

- Lobby concierge lacks proactive service. Overall service details need enhancement, like simple anniversary decorations and welcome fruits provided only upon request.
- The lobby manager responded promptly to issues raised.

💗Other Tips:

- The hotel gifts WA-branded panda souvenirs with commemorative value.
- Compared to other Chengdu five-star hotels, The Ritz-Carlton offered better value during this stay.
