A hotel with a beautiful view in Chengdu

The Sheraton Grand Chengdu

This hotel boasts one of the best views in downtown Chengdu. It's located in the business district and next to the in99 shopping mall, a large shopping mall, directly connected to the hotel.

I booked through Hotelux and selected a King Deluxe Skyline View room. The hotel actually offered an upgrade to a suite, but since the available suite was located across the street, it didn't offer a view of the Tianfu International Financial Center (成都金融城双子塔), one of Chengdu's highlights, especially at night when the twin towers illuminate the building. So I opted for the room I booked instead.

The room was beautifully designed, combining classic and modern elements. It wouldn't be completely new, as the hotel has been around for quite some time. The highlight of this room is the city view, which is stunning both day and night.

The hotel's check-in point is the Sky Lobby on the 50th floor, offering panoramic views of Chengdu from the lobby.

Another highlight of the hotel, aside from the beautifully decorated restaurant, is the swimming pool. I highly recommend the pool, which is also beautiful. Just be sure to bring a swimming cap, as swimming pools are generally required in China.

The hotel's breakfast includes Prosecco, and the food selection is moderate, as seen in the last photo.

Most of the hotel staff speak a fair amount of English. Even though they aren't fluent, they understand each other well. The service is excellent, meeting the standards of a luxury hotel.
