I flew all the way to Chengdu just to stay at this hotel

Hyatt Regency Langpu Hotel Chengdu gives off a vibe of a "gentleman, warm and smooth as jade." Hyatt Group's layout in Chengdu is very insightful, with the Grand Hyatt on Chunxi Road and the Langpu Hotel in Western International Finance Center both occupying prime locations.
🏘️ Room Types/Layout:
The hotel offers various room types including the Yinghui Suite and the Executive Suite. The Executive Langyu Room is an executive room with panoramic views of the city’s landmark skyline. The basic suite is smaller with only a partition, not much different from the standard room; the Yinghui Suite is spacious and not included in the Globalist upgrade range, so paying extra to upgrade is well worth it; due to room planning, the Executive Langyu Room feels a bit compact overall, with each space being small.
🛌 Amenities/Facilities:
- The premium suite uses Guerlain’s Eau Impériale small bottle deluxe toiletries, while the lower room types are equipped with Frederic Malle Magnolia Summer toiletries, matching the scent of the same perfume. Although produced by a subcontractor, the quality is reliable; the Executive Langyu Room’s amenities are the same as the Regent’s, featuring large bottles of Frederic Malle Magnolia Summer, which feel good to use.
- The bathrobes have a traditional style; the bathtub placement is thoughtful, with some bathtubs allowing guests to overlook the densely packed high-rise buildings of Chengdu while soaking.
- Four bottles of Fushi drinking water are provided, and after finishing, there is Baishui mineral water available in the hallway; the hairdryer is from the Laifen brand, and the quality of domestic hairdryers nowadays is excellent.
- The pool and gym seem to be outsourced; the gym is small and lacks highlights; the pool is quite ordinary, similar to a swimming hall.
💗 Other Tips:
- The breakfast variety is rich, with fresh fruit including freshly cut guava and red-fleshed oranges; freshly made egg cakes are clean and hygienic, highly recommended; there are many hot dishes that rotate different stir-fries, and the spicy oil in the couple’s lung slices is authentic, though the overall taste is average.
- The executive lounge quality is inconsistent, personally not as stable as the Grand Hyatt’s Club Lounge; Executive room guests enjoy executive lounge access and three pieces of free laundry (including dry cleaning and regular washing).
- The Chinese restaurant Yipintang·Jinyan specializes in Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine. Mingyu’s food quality is trustworthy, and the Cantonese all-you-can-order is strongly recommended; the Western restaurant Yunchu is quite ordinary, with small steak portions, essentially just the breakfast hall.
- The service attitude of hotel staff needs improvement; there was an incident where a guest was struggling to carry two bowls of noodles and the staff did not proactively offer help.
- If driving, you need to transfer elevators three times to reach the room, which is a bit inconvenient.
- The hotel is located in the city center, so traffic jams may occur nearby. If you are not fixated on staying near Taikoo Li, the Lu Lake area in Chengdu High-tech Zone is also worth visiting, and you can consider hotels in that area.
Although I have already left Chengdu, the many precious memories left at Langpu still often come to mind, evoking deep feelings.
