📜 History & Heritage
The original Anshun Bridge dates back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368) and was famously mentioned by Marco Polo during his travels in China. Over centuries, it was rebuilt multiple times due to floods, with major reconstructions in 1746, 1978, and finally in 2003, when the current version was completed as part of Chengdu’s urban renewal project. The bridge now features traditional Ming and Qing Dynasty design elements, including carved railings and water beast statues believed to ward off floods
