The boutique art hotel on Nimman Road in Chiang Mai, with a rooftop pool and restaurant highly recommended

The first hotel I stayed at in Chiang Mai was called Akyra Manor Chiang Mai, a boutique art hotel located in the city center with an excellent location right on Nimman Road, making travel extremely convenient.

Akyra Manor takes the boutique route of being small yet beautiful, with avant-garde architectural exterior and stylish interior decoration. The lobby and public spaces display a large number of modern art paintings. Upon entering the lobby, the plant fragrance of lemongrass mixed with mint relaxes and pleases the senses.

There are various room types including superior rooms and suites, with the suites' circular bathtubs facing the mountain view. Smart TVs, Bluetooth speakers, and Egyptian long-staple cotton bedding all add to the comfort of the stay.

The rooftop outdoor pool is the best spot to watch the sunset, enjoying champagne while overlooking the misty mountains of Northern Thailand. If you're interested in mixology, you can also learn to make a classic cocktail with the Rise Bar bartender.

I highly recommend the hotel's Italian restaurant. The authentic Italian thin-crust pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven at high temperatures of four to five hundred degrees, which quickly caramelizes the crust while locking in moisture, presenting an attractive leopard spotting pattern with a great chew. Thai-style yellow noodles and Italian beef dumplings with curry sauce, this dish is a fusion with a creative twist.

Breakfast is semi-buffet style, starting the new day with a serving of avocado fried eggs paired with small beef patties.
