Mae Kha Canal - Walk and chill with a Japanese feel

A popular photo spot in the middle of Chiang Mai city. After the development of the Mae Kha Canal landscape, the ancient canal has been revived and turned into a hip tourist attraction. People like to come to walk and take pictures. The walking distance is about 750 meters. Decorated with brick blocks and beautiful flower trees with lights along both sides of the canal. There are shops of the community, including restaurants, drinks, souvenirs. If you come on a weekday, there won't be many shops open. You have to come on a holiday to make it a bit lively. The houses along the canal still maintain the traditional community lifestyle, giving you the atmosphere of an ancient Japanese canal during the fireworks festival. It is recommended to come after 6 pm. The weather will not be too hot.
📍Sri Don Chai Road, near Chang Klan Road, not far from Tha Pae Gate
🕰️ Open daily from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
🚗 There is a car park at the Rakang Bridge for 20 baht.
