Mae Kha Canal is a canal that is over 700 years old and flows through Chiang Mai. Originally, this canal was just a canal outside the city and was used as a drainage channel that flowed into the Ping River. When Chiang Mai expanded, it tried to restore the landscape and improve the water quality by changing the Mae Kha Canal, which used to be full of garbage and had a bad smell, to become clean and clear water. It also built brick walls on both sides of the canal to make it look beautiful and strong. It also planted flowers, making the Mae Kha Canal more beautiful. It has now been renovated with a length of 750 meters, beautifully designed, and has become one of the new landmarks for tourists. There are also restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops.
