Wat Muen Tum, Chiang Mai – A temple on the moat

#VisitChiangMai

If you are looking for a small temple that is worth exploring, where you can easily walk around Chiang Mai, I recommend “Wat Muen Tum”! This ancient temple with beautiful Lanna patterns has twin Buddha statues inside, making it more special and unique. Just walk and pay respect to the Buddha, sit and pray, and in the morning, the sunlight passes through the archway. This angle is the perfect spot for beautiful light.

The white pagoda reflects the morning sunlight for cool photos, and the atmosphere around the temple is not chaotic. After walking around the temple, you can also stop by to take photos for cool content. If you come to Chiang Mai and choose to visit the old city, don’t forget this temple!

Don’t miss highlights
1. Ancient Lanna temple – Wooden structure with layered roof, plastered walls, detailed gold patterns, and a beautiful “Ma Tang Mai” gable.
2. Twin principal Buddha images – Phra Phuttha Chok Dee and Phra Phuttha Mang Mee Sri Suk, two siblings in the same temple. One looks straight ahead, the other looks down, conveying a religious meaning.
3. White pagoda with glass top – Base decorated with four lions, top decorated with colored glass in geometric patterns, umbrella spire covered in gold. Beautiful and eye-catching

📍 Location
– Located on Phra Pok Klao Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, in the heart of Chiang Mai, near Wat Chedi Luang. Easy to find parking, easy to walk to
